Craft Chocolate

Markham & Fitz:

Markham & Fitz started in 2014 when two University of Arkansas alumni Lauren Blanco & Preston Stewart pulled their savings together to buy chocolate making equipment.

Lauren worked in grassroots economic development, this is when she encountered her first cacao farm. Driven to make a positive difference in the cacao supply chain, she leads the company's strategy, creative direction, and product development.

Preston has a background in chemistry and a passion for food science. After tasting craft chocolate for the first time, he dove headfirst in the art of making craft chocolate. Preston leads the company's production operations, quality control, and ensures the highest quality chocolate is made.

Markham & Fitz's mission is to celebrate people and the cacao bean. They practice sustainability like zero-waste initiatives, compostable and recyclable packaging, transparency in supply chain and sourcing high-quality cacao beans.

Chocolate Naive:

Chocolate Naive makes chocolate in a little town on the Eastern side of Lithuania, where they make their chocolate from bean to bar.

Each and every morning, the chocolate master carefully roasts fresh cacao beans whose delicious aroma gently awakens the residents of the town. Just as they were hundreds of years ago, cacao beans are slowly rolled and conched to release.

Their extraordinary bouquet of fruits, nuts, and flowers in a delicately finished chocolate bar. These handcrafted bars are later stored to mature and form a complicated array of tastes and seasonings.

Naive makes chocolate in ways that help to reveal the character of a particular cacao bean. For some time already their products have put Lithuania on the foodie map as a rising star of gourmet chocolate in the world.

Chocolate Naive Ambrosia 65% (Mini)

This delicious bar uses pollen from Naive's own biodynamic apiary found next to the forest where the bees gather their exquisite nectar. Due to its unique location, the honey and pollen are dark ambers in colour and thick with notes of the mossy earth and her flavours. These notes create unusual alchemy with chocolate. The intricate process of combining honey with chocolate puts this recipe among the most technologically sophisticated recipes around.
