They make every bar from scratch with unroasted cacao beans, sourced from growers they trust and admire. The unique flavour of their unroasted chocolate is part place, part process. They craft their bars in celebration of each cacao origin's unique character. Their chocolate-making process values the community of growers, producers, and makers whose livelihoods depend on cacao and chocolate. All of their chocolate is made from scratch, bean-to-bar, in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
Raaka Partnered with Seed + Mill, a women-owned tahini company, to create this choco-tahini swirl bar. Seed + Mill starts with the best of the best sesame seeds from Humera, Ethiopia, and roasts them at precise temperatures to lock in their natural flavor and exceptional nutrients. After roasting, they're ground in small batches to produce an irresistible silky smooth sesame butter - known as tahini. Raaka developed a tahini coconut white chocolate that they swirl by hand with their single-origin unroasted Dominican Dark chocolate to create the perfect balance of dark, light, sweet and nutty.
