Dick Taylor sources the cacao for this bar from the Carvalho family's brand Cacao Bahia, in eastern Brazil. The cacao has been grown and exported by the family since 1942, expanding little by little to become the largest organic producer of cacao in the region. Fazenda Camboa's cacao is deliciously earthy and nutty on its own, but when combined with a touch of sugar, the flavors expand to include honeysuckle, walnut, and even fresh grapes.

Based in Los Angeles, California, LetterPress Chocolate was founded by high school friends David and Corey. Their journey into cacao began during a vacation to St. Lucia in 2011 when they tasted cacao pulp for the first time. In 2013, they started a chocolate blog called "Little Brown Squares" and began making their own chocolate. Their passion grew, leading to the opening of a factory with tours.
